DirtFish Domination at RedBull RallyCross

In September, the traveling racing circus, RedBull Global RallyCross, came through the Northwest stopping at Evergreen Speedway in Monroe transforming it into so a tight and technical rallycross circuit and then after two chaotic days storming off to the next stop of the series. It was like a tornado. It was loud, blusterous, muddy and purely awesome!

Evergreen Speedway is like a second home for me, since that is where a majority of the drift events I attend are held. So it was thrilling to see RedBull transform the place into a tight and technical rallycross track with sections of deep muddy, banking tarmac and the series staple 70 foot kicker.

This is DirtFish Rally School's home event in the series. The pressure was on for them to dominate the event. A win here would show the Northwest and the country why they are the premiere rally school. And under a myriad of changing conditions and mechanical issues and all out racing, that is just what DirtFish did. Dominate. Conner Martell, DirtFish's GRC Lites driver, walked away with a decisive victory with fastest in qualifying, winning his two heats, winning the semi final and winning the final! This is also coincidentally Conner's first overall win in the series. Huge congratulations to him and the team. Being an employee of DirtFish, I couldn't help but feel a sense of pride as I walked around the event seeing all the people wearing DirtFish gear and applauding Conner on his victory. It was definitely a DirtFish take over of the event.

Hopefully next year the RedBull Global RallyCross will return to the Seattle area and be hosted by none other than the DirtFish Rally School....sounds like a Forza Horizon Festival waiting to happen.
